The Wedding Morning
With Emma Woods Beauty supporting you on your bridal journey, I believe a little preparation goes a long way toward a relaxed wedding morning. Here’s everything you and your crew need to know before I arrive so we can keep things easy, beautiful and on time.
Good hair. Good skin. Good energy.
ONE MONTH OUT
Keep it familiar.
Now is the time for your usual hair color, cut, brow appointments and trusted skincare routine.
If you’re planning extensions, a spray tan, facial or other beauty treatment, we’ll make sure the timing makes sense ahead of the wedding.
Avoid experimenting with anything dramatic or completely new as the day gets closer.
ONE WEEK OUT
Hydrate + keep things simple.
Drink your water, moisturize and stick with the products your skin already knows and loves.
Avoid aggressive facials, peels, new skincare or anything likely to cause irritation.
For hair, follow your normal routine unless we’ve discussed specific prep for your style or extensions.
Remember to do your mani and pedi before any spray tan appointments..

Designate a friend to make a fun playlist for the morning vibes, music makes the energy for the day.
THE GLAM SPACE
A comfortable getting ready space makes a big difference.
Whenever possible, please have a clean area with good natural light, accessible electrical outlets, comfortable chairs and enough table or counter space for our kits.
If multiple artists are working, we’ll need enough room for everyone to work comfortably at the same time.
Please update me on what the getting ready space is like so we can plan accordingly.
THE NIGHT BEFORE
Set yourself up for an easy morning.
Have your veil, hair accessories, extensions and jewelry together and ready to go.
Wash and dry your hair according to the prep we discussed for your chosen style.
Keep skincare simple and hydrating, and get some sleep. Tomorrow is the fun part.
decide who will be answering all the questions while you are in the chair tomorrow, we want to give you the relaxing time to get glammed up.
WEDDING MORNING
Come ready for the chair.
For makeup, arrive with a clean face and no makeup.
For hair, arrive with completely dry hair and avoid heavy oils or styling products unless we’ve discussed otherwise.
Wear something that can easily be removed without disturbing your finished hair and makeup.
And please be ready when it’s your turn in the chair.
I always recommend having at least 4 of your gueests there and ready and the remaining not far behind. It keeps our timeline smooth and the morning relaxed.
FOR THE BRIDAL PARTY
Consider this your official glam memo.
Everyone receiving services should review the hair and makeup prep above before the wedding morning.
Please have inspiration ready, know your preferences and be available at your scheduled time.
The bride should not have to spend her wedding morning tracking anyone down.
Have the speaker a for your jams and good vibes ready, this is the core memories when you get ready with your crew.
TIMING IS EVERYTHING
Your beauty timeline is built backward from when you need to be completely ready, including time for getting dressed, detail photos, photographer arrival and your first look.
That means your ready time is intentionally the arrival of your photographer.
Keeping everyone available for their scheduled services allows us to keep the morning relaxed instead of rushed.
